First Responders and Homeland Security - Airport and Building Screening, Fire, Police, Emergency Personnel, etc.
Real time and dose of record information for decision making.
CHP Dosimetry provides both TLD for occupational monitoring and the RADTriage dosimeter for emergency situations in the field.
Homeland Defense and First Responders are often the first safety professionals on the scene. TLD’s provide monitoring of occupational dose and are read in a laboratory. This data is used to determine your occupational exposure.
The RADTriage dosimeter provides immediate indication of radiation dose to allow for rapid decision making and safety of personnel when dealing with potentially high doses. Is it safe to enter? Is it safe to stay? The RADTriage provides a visual indication of dose that anyone can read on the spot.
Just because your meter may be making some noise, does not mean you are getting a significant dose. Know the difference between contamination and radiation. The RADTriage provides a visual indication of your radiation dose and lets you make decisions in real time.
Should your RADTriage indicate exposure, the personnel badge (TLD) can be sent off for an official measurement of radiation dose. 24 hr assessment or even shorter times are possible. These two levels of performance allow for real time decision making, and a later detailed assessment of incident response.
